California Tastin'!
Hey all,
Yeah, yeah, no posts. I know, but this is just a quick note to tell you that I was (breifly) at the California Wine Fair yesterday and I tried some really good wines and one that I didn't like. I don't have the notes with me right now, but when I get then I'll post right away.
Ciao!

Which one didn't you like? I had two that weren't as good as the rest.
And my head still hurts from that third glass of Earthquake Petite Sirah.
The notes are still at work, but it was the Earthquake Zin that I wasn't impressed with. Far too thick and coffee-like for my tastes.
"Earthquake" wine...come on this is a little far fetched isn't it? Can't those yanks come up with a better name for a wine? Although i could really go for california zin right now...mmmmmm berrylicious!!
You didn't like the Earthquake Zin?Them's fightin' words Roddy!
It was pretty big and beastly though. I got hooked on the big nasty Zin style when I first tried the 7 Deadly Zins.
J - if you think the name is tacky, you should see the label!
California wine aside Rod...I want to know how you spent your St. Paddy's day this year. Did you find any leprechans?
No Leprachauns this year JP, I actually decided to boycott St. Paddy's Day since I had my own personal piss-up on Robbie Burn's Day and decided in a drunken stupor to do said boycotting. I did make up for it the next night by going to a party and getting looped there.
And for the Earthquake Zin, I'd probally want to have another shot at it since I was rushed when I got there. I loved the Sonoma Creek Chard tho...
